Oven Ribs

First new recipe of 2013. My very first time making BBQ sauce from scratch. It was a hit. I made the sauce the day I made the ribs. Let the left over sauces it in fridge. A week later it was even better!!


Brined ribs over night

Drain and pay try

Rub with kosher salt, pepper, & McCormick mesquite


2 cups apple vinegar
1 1/2 cups ketchup
1/2 honey
1/2 brown sugar
6 oz beer (bud light)
Liquid smoke
Worcestershire sauce
Red pepper
Garlic minded
Garlic powder
Heat up in a sauce pan

Bake @ 375 60 mins
In tin foil pan with a few splashes of beer in pan

Place on rack and brown for 10 mins

This is a guess since I didn't do exact measurements. If you try it and like it let me know. Taste just like the ribs I would eat in North Carolina.

2013 Resolutions :)

I have not started blogging like I have wanted to. However, I have been busy. I have made some new meals and some crafts.
January is always seems to be a busy month. We start to whine down from the hectic holiday's. Then throw in a New Years resolution.
Why oh why do I make New Years Resolutions every year?!? No, I can't be normal and make one or an anti-Resolution person. I make multiple :) it's fun, crazy and tiring so why not.
This year's Resolutions...
.Lose 20 #lbs ( I lost 22 in 2012)
.Try new recipes
.Craft atleast once a month
.Make new friends and cherish they ones I have
.Do more random acts of kindness
.Be more adventurous
.Make a meal plan
Yes, I know that is just way too much. It will only be 2013 once right.
